<p><strong>Jeremy Webb&nbsp;</strong>founded Off The Leash in 2009. He moved to Canada, from his native UK, in 1998. He grew up in Cambridge and trained at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.</p> <p>Most recent Canadian stage appearances include &lsquo;Beowulf&rsquo; in Beowulf (Two Planks &amp; A passion), &lsquo;The Wizard&rsquo; in The Wizard of Oz and &lsquo;Friar Laurence&rsquo; in Romeo &amp; Juliet (Neptune Theatre, Halifax, 2010), &nbsp;&lsquo;Milo Tindle&rsquo; in Sleuth (Festival Antigonish, 2010), &lsquo;Duncan&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Porter&rsquo; in MacBeth (Shakespeare By The Sea, 2009) &lsquo;Iago&rsquo; in Othello (2008), &lsquo;Peter Quince&rsquo; in A Midsummer Night&rsquo;s Dream, &lsquo;Maurice&rsquo; in Beauty &amp; The Beast (Silvermist Productions, Niagara Falls) and &lsquo;Cogsworth&rsquo; in Neptune Theatre&rsquo;s long-running Beauty and The Beast. He played Bill Sykes in Oliver in 2001. He also appeared in the Canadian premiere of Humble Boy, in the title role &lsquo;Felix Humble&rsquo; and starred in the two-hander plays Stones In His Pockets and The Woman In Black.</p> <div id="attachment_94" class="wp-caption alignright"><img class="size-medium wp-image-94" title="backtree2_1" src="http://www.offtheleash.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/backtree2_1-159x300.jpg" alt="" width="159" height="300" /> <p class="wp-caption-text">Promo shot for A Christmas Carol as 'Scrooge'</p> </div> <p>In Canada, he directed (and wrote) Pinocchio (for Shakespeare By The Sea), Urinetown, Blue Remembered Hills, The Wizard of Oz, A Streetcar Named Desire, Animal Farm, The Farm Show, A Midsummer Night&rsquo;s Dream, Romeo &amp; Juliet, Twelfth Night, Liar, Joseph, Grease, Godspell, The Wind In The Willows, and I Do! I Do!, Double Double, Les Miserables, The Hobbit and Oliver.</p> <p>His one-man version of&nbsp;<strong><em>A Christmas Carol</em></strong>&nbsp;was a great success in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010 playing at Neptune Theatre&rsquo;s Studio Theatre and touring Nova Scotia schools and venues. It is scheduled to tour again in 2011 and is taking bookings in the USA for a combined tour with Webb&rsquo;s play&nbsp;<em>Shakespeare On Trial.</em></p> <p>Webb also starred in the hard-hitting one-man play Maelstrom at Festival Antigonish in 2003. Shakespeare finds himself defending his own work to his own characters. He was audience warm-up guy for three TV shows: The Itch, The Singular Series, and Blackfly.</p> <p>In March 2009, Jeremy won a Best Actor Merritt Award for his portrayal of Iago in Othello, for Shakespeare By The Sea.
