A Filmmaker for whom NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL is very personal.

When I saw media coverage of the refugees coming ashore on the island of Lesvos I knew I wanted to make a film about these people, the island where they were arriving, the islanders and the volunteers. I've made five feature films but NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL is my first feature documentary. The subject of the refugees detained on Lesbos intersects with history, culture and issues that have preoccupied me throughout my life. For me, this a is personal film in the best sense.
