<p>Luke began his career as a freelance photographer. Armed with a strong visual aesthetic and a keen eye and talent for dramatic comedy, Luke has the unique ability to capture great performances in a visually exciting style. Luke graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School in 2005 and in the same year won Tropfest with his film <span><em>Australian Summer</em></span>.</p> <p>He was later the recipient of an AFC funded internship with This is That productions in New York City. 2009 was a good year for Luke. As well as juggling multiple commercials he directed a short film, <span><em>Man’s Best Friend</em></span>, which has been a big success on the international short film circuit. He also directed his first television series, <span><em>Dave in the Life</em></span> for SBS.</p> <p>In 2010 he directed and produced <span><em>Cockroach</em></span>, a 14-minute visual effects loaded film that has gone on to screen at over 30 International Film Festivals as well as winning over a dozen awards.</p> <p>In 2011 he completed work on his second TV series for SBS, <span><em>SEX: An Unnatural History </em></span>produced by Matchbox Pictures and hosted by Julia Zemiro.</p> <p>In 2012 he was the series director of the landmark documentary series <span><em>Great Southern Land</em></span> for ABC and Cordell Jigsaw Productions. The production saw Luke flying and filming all over Australia for over 6 months.</p> <p>He currently directs high-end commercials for Sydney production company Jungleboys and has a number of feature film projects in development both as a producer and a director.</p> <p>And he is slated to being production on his first feature film <em>The Truth About Jack</em> in mid 2013.</p>
