I'm Phil Blattenberger, writer and director of Point Man. My interest in the war is longstanding, but it was energized during several anthropological research trips around Vietnam. The Point Man story has since emerged from convergent creative threads: photographic, academic, authorial. I'm humbled to stand at the helm of this great big thing - a project that started small and has constantly surprised and elated me with its growth and its capacity to rouse excitement.
