I am a young filmmaker and soon-to-be trainee journalist who wants to use documentaries to change the ways in which people see the world. I am passionate about the power of stories to humanise political issues and create intimate connections with people who might otherwise be reduced to statistics and stereotypes. I care about the rights of migrants and refugees and want to address the endangering of these rights in today's political climate. Lola/ Yaya will be my third short documentary.
