I burn time by filming stuff
My name is Louis Corallo and I am the Director and Writer of the 3D short film 'The Mad Truth'.

I am very new in the industry and I mainly work as a Storyboard Artist but my long term goals is to direct a Feature film within the next two years and also to become a full time Cinematographer.

Becoming a Film Maker was a very healthy accident and one that I appreciate very much. I started life with a pen and paper in my hand and I completed my studies with Graphics Designing but I lost my inspiration when the Teachers gave me a lot of crappy assignments. What resulted is that I did not draw a single thing for five whole years and this was a crying shame because I had so much potential. One day, i joined a Media Production course just to burn time before I go and travel around Europe or something. I met an amazing teacher called Ian Osborne and he opened my eyes to the world of Film Making. I made my first short film and that was it I was hooked like a Fish.

Film Making has allowed me to be creative and it reawakened my urge to draw again. I finished University and me a few friends decided that we HAVE to shoot a feature film. We had no money, no budget but we did have a ton of fearless spunk and a huge will to shoot something and get it out there. What resulted was that we raised £2500 and we spent a month in the woods and shot a 90 minute film called 'Patrol Men'. Somehow, someone saw something in us and the film is now available at all good HMV stores and online as well. I was the DOP of that film and my friends were the Directors and Producer. It is not a world class film but it is a perfect example of what happens when we get off our ass and shoot something. It was fun, hard and it got a release and now anyone can buy it and laugh at the poor jokes, blood and guts and witness true film making.
