That is all an actor can do. I began show biz shortly before I turned 30, and had some initial work, but it gets harder as the years pass. I, therefore, have created my own production company to create vehicles for me. That keeps me somewhat satisfied, in between the eternal search for that one role. You know, the one role every actor is looking for. The one that leaves people saying "Where was he hiding?". I'll gladly take the bad with the good of that, any day.</p> <p>I come from a small town in northern Illinois, about 100 miles southwest of Chicago, called Streator. In June of 2010 a tornado tore through the part of town where I used to live. Wiped out homes 2 blocks away from where I was raised. Destroyed the beloved Engle Lane Theater where I got my first taste of acting. Being that my movie is centered on that town, and area, maybe it's a sign of some sort. I would like to bring something good back to Streator in the way of a theatrical resurrection. It could especially use something like that now. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but there are neighbors I know who had to start all over.</p> <p>I have been an educator for the past 12 years; 3 years as a high school assistant principal in Santa Barbara County, and 4 years before that as a dean of students in L.A.. Seems both my day job and avocation are unstable. You may get some idea as to why if you read my book, <em><strong>Microaggressions Across the Great Divide </strong></em>(on b&n.com). <br /> <br /> So, I'm teaching, submitting for parts, working on finishing up "Moon Creek Cemetery", and completing a final polish on my historical novel manuscript. It's called "Four and Twenty Blackbirds" and it's the true but little known story about the deployment and embedding of approximately 700 black troops with white soldiers on the allied front during the Battle of the Bulge. So, I'm in the hallway right now where one door has closed, and the other hasn't opened yet . I hope this raises some interest in you for me.</p> <p>Are you on the other side?</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td><img src="http://www.lundystreet1.com/images/spacer.gif" alt="" width="1" height="15" border="0" /></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"> </td> <td style="padding-right: 20px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-top: 10px;" colspan="3" align="right" valign="bottom" width="97%"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
