<!--StartFragment--> <p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none; text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Garamond"><b>ELIZABETH SPEAR, Director</b></span><span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Garamond"> </span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:Garamond">is a Texas-born, award-winning filmmaker with a B.A. degree in English Literature and Studio Art from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Last year she made headlines when she made the first feature film ever to be shot and edited entirely on the iPhone4. </span>She is earning her Ph.D. in Communication at European Graduate School. Spear served as director for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, Ltd. and was also a co-founder of Iron Gate Studios, a not-for-profit multi-media art gallery and workspace in East Austin that operated from 2003-2006. She has been a guest film teacher at The Khabele School and St. Stephen's School, both private high schools in Austin. She co-founded The Birdhouse Collective, an artist residency program and Texas Artists' Cultural Alliance, a non-profit which supports artists’ livelihoods.</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt; font-family:TimesNewRomanPSMT"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <!--EndFragment--> <div><br></div><div><br></div>
