<p><span>Karen O&rsquo;Lone-Hahn was born in Trenton NJ, spent a good portion of her life in Buffalo, NY where she graduated high school and college and now calls beautiful Southern Chester County, Pa. her home. She holds a B.A. in Art Education from Buffalo State College where she won many awards for her academic prowess. A self taught artist dubbed a "primitive" by one of her professors, Karen has shown her work at the Outsider Art Fair in NYC, the Atlanta Folk Festival and is included in two books about folk and self taught artists. Her work is in the collections of homes, hospitals and corporations in the U.S and abroad. Her warm and whimsical style of paintings along with her unique and unfettered imagination has won her awards in Regional and National Art Shows.</span></p> <p><span>"Millicent and the Faraway Moon" is Karen's first foray into children's books. She has also just completed her first coloring book taken from her cow paintings called "Color Me A Cow".</span></p> <p><span>Karen O&rsquo;Lone-Hahn currently showcases her talents as an artist and writer at art fairs, galleries, book fairs and book signings. She has a home and studio in beautiful Southern Chester County Pa. where she draws inspiration from the idyllic countryside.</span></p> <p><span>Once a sad and gloomy kid, Karen lives as a creative force in the world propelled by her faith in God, a willingness to laugh,a desire to bring joy to the world and the love of a good man and beautiful daughter.</span></p>
