I believe that there are different ways to change the world, educate and inspire—my avenue is through dance. I have taught dance and movement for over 15 years in Austin, Texas, and my particular interest is in teaching children who do not have access to dance, be it due to a lack of means, a disability, language or cultural barriers. Nearly six years ago, I founded Ballet Afrique, a contemporary dance company and student dance academy, in order to bring about this vision.
