The Lone Drone is written and directed by Vanessa Elliott, a Filipino-American filmmaker born and raised in California. She grew up acting professionally and filming/editing for her high school’s Video Production team. She continued to study filmmaking at the University of California, Berkeley, and earned her B.A. in Film & Media. Since graduating, she has produced for Vice Media and Netflix, among others.
