My Performing Background

I started my performing career as a percussionist in 1969 while drumming for Philly's own, the world-renowned Arthur Hall Africa Dance and Drum Ensemble. In 1984 I founded Soul In Motion Players, a non-profit performing arts organization that features African Dance and Drum. The ensemble is based in the Washington DC metropolitan area and has won several awards over the years including The Montgomery Co. Exec. Award for Excellence in the Arts, Empower Magazine Award, and the Mighty Joe Award.
