My most recent project, <i>Casino Liberty</i>, was performed at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater in May 2010, supported by grants from The Pittsburgh Foundation and the Sprout Fund, with a budget of over $12,000</span>.</div></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 15px; line-height: 17px; ">As for my artistic background, I hold an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Washington and a PhD in Theatre and Dramaturgy from Florida State University. I've worked as a dramaturg at the Asolo Theatre in Sarasota and at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. My experience in new play development includes several projects directed by Daniel Sullivan at the Seattle Repertory Theatre and the world premiere of a work by Neil Simon directed by David Esbjornson at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.
