I've worked in the theatre for the past ten years as either an actor, director, designer, technician, production manager, educator, or artistic director. I've worked in Houston, Austin, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, London, and Bath.<br><br>In my experience I have gained the greatest appreciation for the art of theatre, but feel that what we call the theatre isn't really theatre at all. Robert Edmond Jones called our current form of theatre a reflection of a reflected reflection. I think this is very true in most all cases regarding theatre in the United States. So, I'm trying to find a new way, a better way of creating and presenting it.<br>Music can be seen as the art of what life sounds like.<br>Painting or sculpture can be seen as the art of what life looks like.<br>Dance can be seen as the art of what life moves like.<br>Science can even be seen as the art of the mechanics of life.<br>But theatre is the art of life itself, as it incorporates all of these entities, and allows for the drama of the human experience to unfold before us.<br>Shouldn't we be expecting more out of this culmination of all art forms?<br>
