Our installations, events, and publications address the state's billboard surplus and the culture-war messages that proliferate as a result. Artworks enter this signage stream to comment on issues such as religion, race, sex, gender, guns, labor, and immigration. Since 2014, the Sign Show has featured a dozen artists including Kay Rosen, Ed Ruscha, and Mickalene Thomas and received national press from outlets including NPR/Marketplace and T: New York Times Style Magazine.
