Shane is a bassist, composer and producer from South Africa

Shane Cooper is a bassist, composer and producer based in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2014 his debut quintet album Oscillations won the South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Jazz Album. He works regularly with Skyjack, the Kyle Shepherd Trio, and the Reza Khota Quartet. In the past he has also performed and/or recorded with artists like Zim Ngqawana, Lionel Loueke, Talvin Singh, and more. He also releases music as Card On Spokes.
