An award-winning documentary filmmaker, visual artist, writer, and educator, I've been working in film for over 20 years and my documentaries have won numerous international awards. I take a poetic approach both in the visual and audio components of a film’s production, working with subject material that I personally relate to and am deeply moved by. After spending over 18 months in Tohoku as a volunteer, this film project is one that I am very passionate about and have poured my all into!
