I began martial arts as a 10yr old after having seen the original 1984 Karate Kid. It was around that time that I discovered the cinema experience and began a lifelong passion for cinema and martial arts. My passion for martial arts grew to include an interest in the physical training, the philosophy, the culture and the community. Fighting Spirit Film Festival is a combination of my two passions.
