Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kuniko started her career as an actress in musical theater when she was studying Psychology at Ochanomizu university. After graduating, she took an acting training from Harue Momoyama, who was known as an acting trainer of many of Peter Brook‘s legendary works including ‘Mahabharata’. Kuniko is the one of the few performers who truly understands the essence of Harue’s unique training method, and able to apply it to her own expression.
