She began making movies in 2009 after a sudden epiphany she had in the Yucatan convinced her that she must be a filmmaker (She still doesn't know exactly how this happened, but she knows that it was real, and that it was awesome). Since then she produced 5 original short films, two of which won awards at the Scary Cow Film Festival in San Francisco. Her last film, <i>Violet is Single</i>, is a romantic comedy about a food critic who tries to replace love with food. <a href="http://vimeo.com/21683069">Check out the trailer here</a>. The film won first place in acting and cinematography. Since then, Alexandra has been writing screenplays and interacting with the New York folks in Web TV. <i> Lessons From My Early Twenties</i> will be her first web series. </p>
