Valerie Fachman, a graduate of Drake University and the Eugene O’Neill (NTI), is a San Francisco actor/writer. During 15 years in Chicago Val toured W. Coast prisons with Geese Theater, performed in schools with Imagination Theater and in Shen Theatre’s Women Who Changed the World, co-founded Bright Arrow Theatre (works by and about women), & joined Performers Under Stress in 1993. Her play, Failure 2 Communicate (about experiences teaching emotionally disturbed young adults) premiered in 2010.
