O Walter, My Walter
Elena Zucker is a playwright and director. Her play O Walter, My Walter was awarded the 2011 Goldberg Prize in Playwriting at NYU. Selected other writing includes: 6-Lane (Kennedy Center Regional Nominee), A Dybbuk in Crown Heights (concert reading at The Atlantic Stage 2), Imaginary Prisons (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fringe First Nomination), Concentric Circles (Bailiwick Theatre, Chicago) and My Funny Valentine (Access Theatre). Directing credits range from an Early Music opera cabaret that toured Europe to a movement theater piece at the Ontological/Hysteric. Elena has taught physical acting classes at colleges and universities around NYC, as well as leading workshops at the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab and through TVC. She received her MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, her BA from Middlebury College and a diploma for the two-year actor-training program from the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Elena teaches at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
