Gaz Coward

Blackpool, United Kingdom

Lights, Cameras, ACTION!

Was born in Blackpool, Lancashire in 1986 under the name Garry Coward to his mother Andrea Coward & his father Fraser Coward, after living for a couple of years just on the outskirts of Blackpool (Town) they moved out into the countryside but still not far from Blackpool (Only a few miles) Garry’s childhood was great as he attended Hambleton County Primary school before heading off to St. Aidan’s ...High school, during this time his very close uncle bought a local video shop & a computer shop this is where Garry really started to get into films. Garry started to take films more seriously than school and before you knew it he was basically all about films, he was even the highest video renter at the local shop! Actually his weekly renting would reach 20+ films. This wasn’t doing much good with being able to get GCSE’S but something much bigger was about to hit Garry like a bullet in the back. 17th January was when it happened, Fraser Garry’s dad passed away from heart disease, this really shuck Garry up, he didn’t care much for school anymore or life, he started getting bullied at school and it even came to Garry actually dropping out! 2 years went by and Garry was now just getting his life back on track and films were a part of this new life, the 28th November 2004 was the day Garry received his first digital video camera after asking for one for his birthday. Let’s skip a year or so……. September 2005 Gaz wanted to do something in memory of his father and so he wrote a film by the name of "Rest in Peace", the film did great things for him and in memory of his father, not long went by and he decided to write a second movie to add to the first film, the film became known as "Rest in Peace: Noises" and again enjoyed success. Since releasing his first 2 films Garry has gone on to release 15+ more short films and in the meantime he’s also got himself a stage name, he know longer writes/directs under the name Garry Coward but is now known as Gaz Coward when working on his films.
