Sunday gallery hours offer another opportunity for the public to view shows, as we welcome new neighbors in from the street and serve complementary coffee and tea to all those who stop by.</p><p>Visual artists in our shows range from young and promising newcomers to the established and critically acclaimed. Our group shows consistently listed or covered in major NYC arts publications including Time Out New York and Artcat. Vaudeville Park has an open call-for-submissions and hosts popular screenings of new features, short films, and music videos from up-and-coming NYC directors.</p><p>Successful past events have included a screening of “Giver Taker Heartbreaker,” a feature film by Christopher Arcella, the Showpaper Intramural Film Festival organized by Cinebeasts, and the official premiere screening of the music-video series “Teen Dream” by the critically acclaimed indie band, Beach House.</p><p>Vaudeville Park is equally proud of its role in helping to preserve and screen archival 8mm and 16mm shorts and features that can’t be seen anywhere else.</p><p>Archivists of original antique film prints have worked with Vaudeville Park to curate themed, intimate screenings, that are often complemented by a live score. Some of our most popular screenings have featured rare Film Noir gems, and vintage animations that date back to the dawn of cinema. These events have been reviewed in the film sections of local periodicals including “L Magazine”. Past events of note include: “The Tom Stathes Cartoon Carnival”, “T.V. This unique endeavor has developed over the years to become one of our defining landmarks.</p><p>Past highlights include a two-day installation for the CMJ Music Festival that featured local musicians as well as guest performers from as far as the Netherlands. We cater to all skill levels and mediums to help unleash the inner artist that exists in each person.</p><p>Our continuing “Electronics in Music” workshop received rave reviews from Deli Magazine who compliment our “great teachers with great energy... who work in tandem to describe minute details”, and it has been praised by other local periodicals including the notable culture blog Bushwick BK.</p><p>Past workshops have included Circuit Bending, Money-Saving Skills for Musicians and Master Classes by renowned recording artist Jim Campilongo. We also offer affordable musical instruction for local kids and teens, providing low-cost alternatives from beginner to intermediate students of guitar, bass, strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion.</p><p>Individuals from diverse backgrounds have all learned and connected under our roof, enjoying the exciting hands-on workshops at Vaudeville Park, a one of a kind experience.
