David Segal

I run an activist group called Demand Progress - we have around one million members across the country and fight for civil liberties and civil rights. I'm based in Providence, RI but yo-yo up and down the East Coast a lot. On hiatus from a decade in politics, as a city councilman (as a Green) and state rep (way-left/libertarian Dem), capped off with a run for Congress in 2010. Went to school in NYC, have a degree in math, been wasting a lot of time in the swimming pool recently.
