Ain't I A Black Woman - Liberation Lumpkin's Legacy, is my second documentary film. This is a story of strength, resilience and liberation.

I am a filmmaker. I sometimes have to convince myself of that fact as I started my journey late in life, by societal standards, at 58. The driving force in what I do, be it radio or film, is to tell our stories. My first film, BackBurner Dreams is also a Black women centered film.In Ain't I A Black Woman I "say the names" starting with Mary Lumpkin of Black women liberating their communities. Artists, activists, community organizers, many whose names you don't know, we shed light on their work.
