Adventurous Pioneer in Fisheries and Aquaculture Projects

I started catching fish at my grandfather's knee, and I've worked professionally in fisheries and aquaculture since 1975. Over the years, I have done a bit of everything that has to do with fish, from harvesting and marketing to policy development and consulting. I've written about fisheries issues for the New York Times and other publications, and authored two books on fisheries and aquaculture. I was a 2007 Guggenheim Fellow examining sustainable fish biz innovations, including aquaponics.
