Daniel J Pierce

Daniel graduated from Simon Fraser University's film school in 2009 and founded Ramshackle Pictures in 2010. He immediately got his first taste of documentary when he pursued a rare opportunity to film the restoration of Vancouver's iconic Big Hollow Tree. "The Hollow Tree" premiered at DOXA Film Festival in 2011 and has been broadcast on CBC Documentary and Knowledge. For the past three years Daniel has been following forestry issues on the west coast of BC for his new feature film "Heartwood".
