My name is Federico Muelas and I’m the skipper of the crew that has been working for over a year to turn the “Monarch Butterfly Survival Kit” into reality.

I have been teaching Electronics and Physical Computing for the last 12 years to students of all ages, from 7 to 70 years young. I mostly do my teaching at the School of Visual Arts in New York City (MFA Computer Art and Bachelor in Fine Art departments) but once in a while I’m invited to do workshops in others schools in the US and abroad. I’m also a New Media Artist and when I’m not teaching or working on educational projects like this one I do my “own” artwork.
