Canadian paramedic seeking to break through the language barrier.
Through my practice as a paramedic in British Columbia, Canada, I regularly am faced with a language barrier that impacts the care I can render to a patient. When I would have a patient who didn’t speak English, I noticed the impact it had on my ability to assess and treat. So I set to work creating a solution that would benefit not just me in my practice, but also others who face similar challenges. The end result is the Emergency Medical Translator.
