Filmmaker

I was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. My father moved the family out to Chicago for a better life and opportunities. The moment I knew I wanted to become a filmmaker at the tender age of 11, was watching the making of "Star Wars". Mind you, I was a huge lover when it came out in 1977. I attended Columbia College in 1987, made my first independent film entitled "Change". It was shown at the 10th Chicago Latino Film Festival in 1994, the first Chicago Latino feature film and the rest is history.
