<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: georgia, helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 21px; border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">Joe Nava is a screenwriter and filmmaker. He was born in Mexico City and seasoned through the years in Tokyo, Paris, and Madrid. Joe graduated from USC's School of Cinema with a B.A. in Production. At USC, he studied screenwriting under Shonda Rhimes, which led to his first job in production for the ABC show <i>Grey's Anatomy</i>. Since then, Joe has dedicated his career to screenwriting. He recently finished a trilogy of feature screenplays inspired by youth, middle age, and old age. The "youth" script <i>April, My Lovely</i> was in the top 10% of scripts in the Nicholl Fellowship last year. The "middle age" drama <i>Heart of August</i> was a Nicholl semifinalist and a finalist in the Sundance Screenwriting Lab. Currently, he is working under the guidance of playwright John Steppling on a radio play to be aired in Los Angeles. He is also writing a new script based on the friendship between Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald.</span>
