Born in the Dominican Republic, Alex Vasquez Escaño graduated from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Political Science and from Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy with a M.S. in Nonprofit Management. He has participated in the playwriting workshops of Teatro IATI, Ollantay Center for the Arts and DANISARTE, and has taken playwriting courses at the New School.
