Composer, performer, academic
I'm a composer, performer and academic. I'm and Englishman and a grumpy Londoner, but I have strong links with Scotland, having spent the first seven years of my life in Edinburgh, and then returning later for university. It was there that I was introduced to the work of Alasdair Gray. I work with filmmakers, writing music for whatever they throw at me. I wrote an opera that was premiered at Kings Place last year for the Tête-à-Tête festival. I teach at Goldsmiths and I also play music for cash.
