Mid-Lifers Take on Quixotic Wood Reclamation Project

I was a reporter when my partner decided to take down the Globe Elevator. "Knock yourself out," I told David. "I'll visit you on weekends." But gradually the project captured my imagination too, and I left my newspaper job to join him. We love the challenge of reclaiming beautiful old-growth lumber. But, more than that, we've come to appreciate the environmental benefits of re-using harvested wood products. It's a small but significant contribution to slowing climate change. Hope you agree.
