One of my first memories is of playing in the afternoon sun and silence while reclining on my livingroom floor. As I wiggled my fingers in the sunbeams breaking through our window, I knew even at age three I was creating something unique. I highlighted a moment in time that many would have missed, noting it within history and giving it a special marker through movement. Artists help people to see the world in a new light, to ask questions that would normally remain untouched and in essence to push our world forward through moral and ethical questioning of self and society. I have been creating dance from that moment on my floor and throughout my life have trained across Canada, the United States, Brazil and Europe. I believe strongly in paying dancers for the amount of physical, mental and emotional work they give to a process. I believe they should be paid for the moments they present to society for thought process and for inspiration to achieve beyond what we previously dreamed or imagined. I urge you to support those who give rise to new dreams and inspire....our muses, our potameides.
