<p>Chinisha S. Scott is an artist, primarily a musician and filmmaker, born and raised in Brooklyn and currently residing on Staten Island. On the grind, she is a graduate student at The New School for General Studies, in process for her Master of the Arts in Media Studies and the Associate Director of Media Fellows at DCTV’s <span class="caps">PRO</span>-TV program, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing activism, self-advocacy, and the art of film-making to high school students through documentary film training. She graduated from the Macaulay Honors College at <span class="caps">CUNY</span> in 2008, cum laude, with a BA in African-American studies and Film. When she’s not in the books or working with the young people, she’s making independent films, making music, writing, working for and engaging with the community, building with (new) artists, and keeping it funky.</p>
