Born in NY, raised in Queens, Ecuadorian & Puerto Rican Pallo was known as the “parochial-school punk.” He & his sister Pat were raised by their single mom, a once-aspiring singer who never quite figured out how to pursue a career in show business. Having missed out on her opportunity, Mom encouraged the kids to follow their dreams. Fully prepared, Jorge made his grammar-school stage debut in “The Nutcracker.” He later starred in high school productions of “Into the Woods” & “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”. Jorge was accepted to NYU’s theatre program, but it wasn’t until his junior year in a Summer Stock production of “A Few Good Men,” directed by his mentor Bob Moss, that he really connected with what would be his future career. After graduation, he toiled in Off-Broadway productions & joined the Latino sketch comedy group “Vaso de Leche.” A friend introduced him to his first manager who urged him to move to LA to further his career. At first LA was not welcoming, but he felt he found a home while teaching acting classes at Scott Sedita Studios. A chance meeting with a frat bro & director at a Texas Hold ‘Em poker game won him 6 days of work on the director’s film, which got him his SAG card. Soon after he booked a series of credible high-profile roles. His first TV job was a guest star on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, followed by a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation of Missing Pieces, starring James Coburn. In films he worked on Minority Report, War of the Worlds, & Lions for Lambs. The highlight, of course, was working with Spielberg. Other TV episodic work includes: NYPD Blue, recurings on Resurrection Blvd., The Shield, The Unit, 24, & more. From snowboarding to karate, Jorge enjoys a variety of sports. After tearing a ligament in his knee doing Tae Kwon Do, he finally had to have an operation. He has recently taken up a form of Israeli Marshal Arts called Krav Maga, which he calls “fun, brutal street fighting.” Jorge has returned to his music roots by taking guitar & voice lessons. This self-described “rock-and-roll” guy is influenced by The Beatles, U2, Led Zeppelin, Sinatra, & even his “look-alike,” Usher. Jorge’s “family” in LA includes his 2 rescue dogs: a black & tan Husky/Shepperd pup, El Rey & a lab/shepherd mix, Estrella. Toys for Tots & Hollywood Heart are 2 charities that are near to his “heart” because “being of service matters.” This 2010 he will co-host his 5th annual cocktail party to gather toys for kids for Christmas.
