<p>Aryn Michelle is a do-it-yourself indie pop songstress who has always refused to wait around for her next big break; she makes it happen. As a teenager Aryn taught herself piano and guitar, and soon after began writing her own music. While attending Southwestern University, Aryn began releasing homemade demos of her original music and began performing around Austin, TX. With a hunger to become a better songwriter and performer, she attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for a few years and also began to learn how to engineer and produce her own demos and fan-fund her recording projects.</p> <p>Aryn released her debut album, Lockless Heart, in 2009 as she was finishing her work at Berklee. While at Berklee she was honored with the Scott Benson Award for songwriting, and awarded the grand prize in the 2009 Berklee Substance Abuse Prevention Campaign for her song &ldquo;Crave.&rdquo; Since leaving Berklee, Aryn was selected as a regional finalist for the 2009&amp;2011 Mountain Stage NewSong Festival, was invited to be one of eight artists to represent the TUNE campaign, was named the TexasCSA&rsquo;s 2010 Songwriter of the Year, was the 2010 KLTY&rsquo;s Chick-fil-a Celebrate Freedom jingle writing contest grand prize winner, was a top ten finalist in the 2011 Folgers&rsquo; National Jingle Writing Contest and the grand prize winner of the 2011 Chevy Sonic Sounds Competition.</p> <p>In March 2010 Aryn Michelle completed raising $50,000 through the crowd-funding website SellaBand.com to fund her next album. The album, Last One Standing, was produced by Riley Friesen of Coda Record House and released in October 2011. Aryn toured the album with her band in 2011 and 2012 and continues to promote and seek placements for "Last One Standing."</p> <p>Last year Aryn launched a YouTube Channel where she releases a new song every week called "New Tune Tuesday." (youtube.com/newtunetuesday) She has released 32 weeks of music so far and there's more to come! These songs as served as a platform and inspriation for her next recording project. In October 2012, Aryn began funding for her new faith-based project tenatively titled "Road to Heaven."</p>
