A Drumming Composer
Richard deCosta first heard opera on NPR at age 10 and instantly became hooked. Then, over the next decade he immersed himself in an intense self-directed study using every music theory and composition book he could get his hands on. Unlike most composers, Richard's primary instrument is drums, and it shows. At 49 he is still obsessed with both drums and opera, and has combined them (with theater organ, too, of course!) into the project you see here!
