Maasai believe in Education and want to Stop FGM

I’m Teri Gabrielsen, Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Africa Schools of Kenya (ASK). While traveling in Africa fifteen years ago, I met a Maasai Chief whose dream was to make education available to every boy and girl in his village of Esiteti, a community of over 1000 people. Since 2007, Kamete and I have implemented numerous educational programs with a special emphasis on girl’s education and eradicating FGM and early marriage among the Maasai. www.ASKenya.org
