She directed her own autobiographical one act, <i>Hand/Flash/Back</i> (Bowery Poetry Club), Kymbali Craig’s one-woman hip-hop theater piece, <i>Male Gaze</i> (Bailey’s Café), and choreographed John Montgomery Theater Company’s ensemble-based play, <i>We Call Her Benny</i> (Frigid Festival, Michael Weller). Acting credits include <i>Plains</i>(LaMama E.T.C.) <i>Piecework</i> (Theater for the New City) and <i>Uncommon Women</i> (4th Meal Productions).</p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 21.0px 0.0px; line-height: 21.0px; font: 14.0px Helvetica; color: #000606">In 2008, Julie moved back to Detroit, MI, where she produced <i>The Red Thread: Interwoven Performance Portraits</i> (Boll Theater), a product of her vision to bring real life stories onto the stage in her hometown. Red Thread Theater will bring this unique collective storytelling form to New York City in the spring of 2011.</p></span><p></p>
