Lamont Lamar is a storyteller who aims to explore the untold stories within Black and LGBTQIA+ communities through film. In 2017, he moved from Philadelphia to Oakland to study at California College of the Arts. As an undergraduate, he founded BIPOC EDU Collective, space for students to spark dialogue around radical justice within higher education. In addition to holding leadership positions on campus, Lamont also spent much of his time working with and mentoring youth at SFFilm and PhillyCAM.
