She also has a sustained interest in Native American culture, their symbolism and traditions. She became an artist gradually, almost unintentionally, after exploring photography and the film industry. A mentor who understood my passion for horses, challenged me to try sculpting them from clay. As my work in this new medium evolved I employed increasingly creative combinations of firing and glazing methods.
