I've spent a lifetime with words. Growing up in Jamaica, I was lucky that my grandmother was a great storyteller. Her stories helped to shaped and fuel my love of literature. But with the exception of an awesome collection of African folktales loaned to me by my primary school principal, most of the books I read came from the US & the UK. I've been a teacher, a journalist, and a policy maker. And With Blue Banyan Books I'm trying to change that. One story at a time. One book at a time.
