Anything worth doing is worth doing right

Born in Texas and raised bouncing around New Mexico and Colorado, I grew up in a place where Grandma could take me out hunting arrowheads in the backyard. I’ve been fascinated by the arts and history since I was able to talk, and a stubborn streak in me made those twin passions be a big part of what I wanted to make of my life. I went to the University of Northern Colorado on a theater scholarship, and that is also where my career as a playwright began. I later attended the School for Film and Television in New York. I moved back to Denver when my ambitions began to move away from film and stage and turned toward the printed page. Comics have been a lifelong love of mine, and the chance to take everything I’ve learned, from the political intrigue of Greek Citystates to the use of shadow in Raiders of the Lost Arc, and pouring that into comics has been one of the most rewarding projects of my life.
