'Let us live so that when we come to die, even the undertaker will be sorry to see us go.'

I am an artist and no/low budget filmmaker working in Athens, Georgia. My love of film and of all things horror was sparked by a clandestine midnight viewing of 'Silent Scream' at the age of eight. One spilled bowl of popcorn and a sleepless night later, I embarked on a horror binge watching any and every scary movie from the classics (Vincent Price in particular) to 80's slasher fare.

In 2006, inspired by 50's anti-Communist propaganda films, a friend and I wrote a parody screenplay entitled "Safety FIRST." The film purported to prepare the "typical American family" for the inevitable event of a Communist zombie invasion. I sat on the script for a few years, in love with its content but uncertain of what to do with it.

Luckily, my friend (and amazing no-budget filmmaker) Andrew Shearer offered to shoot it for me. I wouldn't be able to take him up on it for nearly three years. But when I did, it was love. I loved directing, I loved being at the center of such incredible energy and I loved the finished product. Since that first 15 minute film, I've been involved in many shorts and produced, directed and edited four shorts and a feature length documentary.

Being a part of the independent film community has been - and continues to be - an incredible experience. I am proud to be involved with such a supportive, creative and just plain kickass group of artists.

As of July 2012, I changed my production company's name from HeadsWillRoll to TiltAWhirl Pictures - it's a name that I believe captures the excitement of what we do. We are currently in post-production on one short, just finished a horror short film that has been selected for inclusion in a television horror anthology and a feature-length film in pre-production.

I am... an optimist at heart, a smartass, a compulsive animal-rescuer, a lover of all things mid-century, a mama, a skater, an artist AND a no-budget filmmaker. Life is full of adventure. Enjoy it.

"Let us live so that when we come to die, even the undertaker will be sorry to see us go."

-Mark Twain
