Paula Smith

<p>I worked for a number of years in upper management in social services before making a career change to work in entertainment. I worked at <span class="caps">AMC</span> for 3 years in various positions and as a GM for another theatre for 2 years. My BA is in Psychology from <span class="caps">UCONN</span> and my MA is in Management from Webster.</p> <p>I’ve taken a number of additional courses in film production and attended numerous film and writing seminars including those taught by Robert McGee, Richard Walter, Michael Hauge, Dov SS Simens, David Freeman, Lew Hunter, and numerous others.</p> <p>I enjoy writing scripts and my scripts have placed in over 3 dozen screenwriting contests with 3 wins and 8 additional times as a Finalist. I’ve produced several short films. I currently serve on the Board of <span class="caps">KCWIFT</span> (Kansas City Women In Film &amp; Television) and have previously served on the Board of the <span class="caps">IFC</span> (Independent Filmmakers Coalition).
