James Repici was born in Falls Church, Virginia, as the youngest of four children. He is the son of Dominic Repici, a one-time White House Official, PHD Physicist and Lawyer, and Janet Carney, a College Professor and later a Franciscan Nun. James attended High School in Tampa Florida, and later graduated from the Florida State University with a Business degree in Finance. In 2007 his feature screenplay, Cigar City, was a Finalist in the prestigious Page International Screenwriting <a href="http://www.imdb.com/search/name?bio=Award">Award</a>s, one of the most well respected screenwriting competitions in the world, 2nd to only the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship. As a writer, James has also placed in the WGA endorsed, Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition (quarter-finalist) for his feature screenplay Dutch Book, which is in development with Emmy <a href="http://www.imdb.com/search/name?bio=Award">Award</a> winning Producer Sylvia Caminer attached to Produce. In 2011 his feature film Subprime, which he wrote, directed, and produced, received the Audience Choice <a href="http://www.imdb.com/search/name?bio=Award">Award</a> at the Central Florida Film Festival. James is the Public Relations Officer at the Jack Kerouac Writers in Residence Program - a non-profit that <a href="http://www.imdb.com/search/name?bio=award">award</a>s aspiring writers a three month residency in the house where Jack Kerouac wrote his famous novel, The Dharma Bums. James is an <a href="http://www.imdb.com/search/name?bio=award">award</a> winning Writer and Director. He is also the Co-Owner and Operating Manager of the Re-Fine Arts Production Company, based out of Winter Park, Florida.
