Campaign for Summer Residency/Graduate Bridge Funding

I'm a recent graduate of Howard University with a B.A. in Philosophy. During undergrad, I usually worked and held-down internships simultaneously along with other side jobs like resume and cover-letter writing for students, the occasional editing of manuscripts, and being the editor of my school's literary journal, Amistad. Some free, some unpaid, all definitely worthwhile.

Now, I'm entering a grad program/teaching residency and I've exhausted all of my options for bridge funding. Since I care for myself and another household financially, it's becoming impossible to see my way through my first and last months of my residency with the hours that I have at my current job, especially since we're not allowed to work during our first year.

Residents with no funding are allowed to take out a loan of $20,000 to finance our first year, but living in DC, even with a roommate, this is pretty difficult sicne I'm taking on two households.

I'd love to meet my goal of $1,500, but I will recieve all donations, of any amount, with the utmost gratitude.
